The Barbie Bandits had all their ducks in a row…Anyone who’s watched Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve, or Thirty-Seven knows that it takes a deft combination of razor-sharp wit, impeccable timing, and professional skill in order to pull off a successful heist.
Which is probably why the bank-robbing Barbie Bandits got caught quicker than you can say, “My address is Whispering Oaks, Lot 37, cinder block 14.”
The dimwitted duo were on ABC’s “Good Morning America” today to talk about their infamous crime and to show off their shallow gene pools. According to Bandits Heather Johnston and Ashley Miller, they had “an inside man” – the teller, in fact – at a Bank of America branch in an Acworth, GA grocery store. The perfect crime, indeed!
After they made off with the loot, the girls immediately proceeded to do some stuff they described as “pretty ignorant,” like going to the mall, visiting an upscale salon to get highlights, and giving money to a homeless person. Oh, and I guess they decided to celebrate their newfound riches by sparking up a fatty, because after getting caught, they were charged with marijuana possession.
Gosh, sometimes you wonder how people end up making such stupid decisions. That is, until you read three sentences about their past:
Johnston had hoped to become a dental hygienist. After finishing high school, she was supposed to go to Gainesville State College on a scholarship. Instead, she went to work as an exotic dancer, where she said she met Miller.
Whoops. Can I get a do-over?

Separated only by a trailer and secure home, poor education and lack of morals and social graces?.. The Hiltons, Richies, Lohan’s and Spears etc.. could have done this robbery with Greasy Bear inside man, and probably did something equally illegally similar to celebrate and be caught after their heist!!
