Bobby Brown’s Deadbeat Prerogative

Bobby Brown in Vibe Magazine

Bobby Brown, formerly of New Edition and the Whitney Houston Crackhead Scholarship Fund, was arrested last Sunday in Massachusetts. Because Bobby has seen better economic days, he was cooling his heels in jail, unable to raise the $19,150 in bail money.

D.C.’s Hot 99.5 Morning Show decided to bail Brown out in exchange for a signed contract that stipulated he would do a week’s worth of morning air time. The idea, according to morning show jock Kane, was to let Bobby demonstrate that he wasn’t such a bad guy by coming on the air each day and keeping it real.

Unfortunately, Bobby seemed to back peddle on the deal live on the air this morning during a telephone call with Kane, and eventually hung up on the DJ. Hot 99.5 now reports that the entire deal is off, and they are looking for the money to be returned.

In related news, Massachusetts cocaine dealers report that prices are up in heavy afternoon trading.

Coke addict or not, Bobby needs to get a friggin’ job either way! Especially if he can’t raise $19k on his own…

Bobby Brown just needs to perform. I don’t know why this guy decided at some time that he wanted to be a loser. I mean, what is it? Just didn’t get better after the New Edition? Come on, Bobby. We’ll sign you up and get you going and you’ll be back on top within 2 years. Give us an email. $19,000? Man, how in the hell did you get that bad off?
