Controversial billboard for Captivity the movievia AdRants

Billboards for the upcoming movie Captivity, which feature Elisha Cuthbert in situations like abduction, confinement, torture, and death, have been labeled as taboo. As a result, the ads have been pulled and apologies have been made. Honestly, though, what good parent would rather have their kids see Basic Instinct 2 than this innocuous billboard ad campaign that could clearly be used to put the fear of god in little bastards everywhere?

You’d think it would take something pretty outrageous to offend the morally upstanding citizens of LA and the Big Apple. Seriously, if Batman and Robin and the utterly Travolting (yes, Travolting) Battlefield Earth weren’t viewed as social abortions, then clearly, we’ve taken offensive to a whole new level.
