Chase is coming out with a new autobiography, I’m Chevy Chase… And You’re Not, and he reveals some pretty disturbing stuff about his now-deceased parents.
Comedian Chevy Chase will never forgive his mother and step-dad for the tortuous beatings he received as a child. Chase admits he lived in “deathly fear” of his mentally-ill mother Cathalene and stepfather because they subjected him to regular psychological torture.
In his new autobiography he claims his mother once slapped him “continually and hard, across the face. I don’t remember what it was for, or what I had done. I lived in fear all the time – deathly fear.â€
I love me some Chevy Chase—Caddyshack, Fletch, Vacation… they don’t make ‘em like that anymore. Imagine my shock when I was told that Chase is actually still alive. Apparently it was only his career that died over a decade ago. My bad.
