Isaiah Washington got fired from Grey’s Anatomy because he’s a freakin’ jerk.Isaiah Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke on ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy, was given the pink slip last night by the show’s producers. Earlier this year, Washington made headlines when he decided to spice things up on set with a little gay-bashing, and basically, it’s been all downhill from there.
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, who first broke the story, reports that the decision was due only in part to Washington’s on-set troubles, and was a result of a “pattern of problematic behavior.”
Frankly, I wish they’d have renewed his contract for one more show so he could die gruesomely at the hands of his on-screen lover, Dr. Yang. But you know what? This is just like that time I wanted popcorn at the cockfights and got stabbed instead—I never get what I want.
