Jay Leno is looking for one good MexicanJay Leno has had a beef with comedian George Lopez since January, thanks to comments by Lopez about the “Tonight Show” host such as he’s “the biggest two-faced dude in TV,” a “backstabber,” and “the worst interviewer on TV.” So, while attending a Richard Jenni memorial, Leno decided to settle things with Lopez. Problem is, he was actually speaking to Paul Rodriguez, someone Leno has worked with for 30 years.
“He said, ‘Listen, maybe you and I should sit down and work this out,’” Rodriguez recalled when we phoned him yesterday. “He said, ‘We shouldn’t be airing this stuff in public.’ He was going on like that. At first, I thought he was putting me on. Finally, I said, ‘Jay, It’s Paul! I’m not George! I’m the other Beatle.’
Wow, that’s pretty embarrassing. Similarly, one time at this chick’s house I flipped on The Tonight Show and almost cracked a smile during Leno’s monologue. She saw me. Needless to say, I got no coochie that night.
