Jessica Sierra of American Idol got arrested for assault and possession2005 American Idol Top 10 contestant Jessica Sierra embraced her inner redneck last night and allegedly whomped a dude in the head with a beer mug. Sierra was out carousing at some dive in Tampa, Florida, when she decided to pull a Jeb and get a bit rowdy.
Sierra, 21, was booked in the Hillsborough County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was also charged with possession of cocaine and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility after officers found a small amount of the drug while searching her, police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said.
The battery is not really surprising, since the only requirements to be on American Idol are mutated DNA and a dream. But taking your cocaine into jail with you instead of ditching it between the seat and door while in the back of the police cruiser? Come on now… your momma taught you better than that.
