Shilpa Shetty and Richard Gere stir the kool-aid in IndiaRichard Gere is still coming under fire for publicly kissing all over Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty while in India last week, and warrants for his arrest have been issued. A judge ruled that the pair violated India’s strict public obscenity laws with a “highly sexually erotic” show of faux PDA.
Gere and Shetty “transgressed all limits of vulgarity and have the tendency to corrupt the society,” PTI quoted the judge as saying.
I feel sorry for Shilpa Shetty, since she’s in India and could be arrested pursuant to these ridiculous warrants. But Gere is off the hook as long as he stays out of India, so no one can really blame him for packing up his gerbils and getting his ass out of that country as fast as possible.
