Yep, 23 days in jail will be rough for Paris HiltonAmazing. Paris Hilton has had her 45 day jail sentence cut to 23 days because she actually showed up to be sentenced. And they wonder why people think the United States legal system is screwed?
Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her credit for good behavior, Whitmore said. Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.
She shows up for her required court date so she can be sentenced for violating probation, and her sentence is cut for doing what she was supposed to do? I guess the second half will be forgiven for actually showing up to jail on time, with an award from the city for flossing regularly and maintaining a diet low in polyunsaturated fats. Next thing you know, we’ll owe her money because she looks both ways before crossing the street.

The judges name needs to be brought to the public,s attention, as often as possible for this action and maybe public outcry could help shorten the judges tenure. Get rid of the BUM!!!!!!!

Although it is entertaining to think of the reduction in sentence as going easy on her, but, and I may be mistaken, the Judge gave the 45 days in part because she didn’t show up. Therefore actually showing up for the second one shows a level of contriteness and that she is starting to take it seriously. If this is correct, the reduction would be reasonable.

We in 2007 are in the worse situation in every aspect of the American existence it isn’t even commentable! PATHETIC! Paris should have gone to jail for the full 45 days because that is what was so ordered. A normal person would have gone to jail for months. The United States is a FUCKED up society… PERIOD! Money people get of FREE and walk and do whatever they want. White women… get the same FREE ride and Black people still pay in SPADES for what white folks, white women mainly and rich people do NOT! That’s why this country is in the mess it is. God watches and sees EVERYTHING and the scales of life will BALANCE. So as we keep trying to spare the rod and spoil celebrities, white men and women, there is another force at work… balancing it all out in vicious ways to make sure everyone gets her or his just desserts.
