Pete Wentz punched some dude at a concert.Pete Wentz is this year’s finalist in the Nick Lachey Junior Achievement Awards—he’s famous for dating Jessica Simpson’s younger sister Ashlee, and plays in a lame emo band called Fall Out Boy, which by definition amounts to a “boy” band. Anyway, Pete got all sorts of buzz this week for beating the crap out of some guy who was at his show in Chicago, and the initial reports were that Wentz hit the guy first before everyone piled on the hapless heckler and turned him into a bloody mess. Not so, says Pete.
The truth is on the way out the door I had to pass directly next to the guy and I knew it, so I kept my head down and walked out. As I did, the guy reached out and grabbed me and said something I couldn’t really hear – it was a glorious use of the English language, though. As he grabbed me, I punched him.
Come on now. I’ll say it again… this guy wears eyeliner. The last time I got beat up by a guy wearing eyeliner, it cost me a hundred bucks. Pete is leaving money on the table.
