Roseanne Barr to convert oxygen to carbon dioxide on The View?With Rosie O’Donnell leaving The View, the scramble to find a suitably obnoxious replacement has begun in earnest. With rumors circulating that the leading candidate is Roseanne Barr, methinks ABC is overcompensating on this one.
“She’s a piece of work, she’s a character, she says what’s on her mind and she’s funny,” said a source with knowledge of ABC’s sudden and desperate search to find a new co-host to replace O’Donnell who quit the show last week.
“They’re missing strong personalities on that show, and that’s what they’re going to need if they want to keep it going,” an ABC staffer close to the situation told the Post.
I miss Rosie already. Hell, bring back Star Jones for all I care. I don’t watch The View, but seeing Rosanne force as much gravy as she possibly can past her gastric bypass band on a daily basis has got to leave a mental mark on the viewers.
