Skeet Ulrich and Jericho aren’t cancelled… yet.Remember back when Skeet Ulrich was supposed to be the next big thing? Yeah, my memory is hazy on that too, but that’s the story. Anyway, Ulrich has made a comeback with the CBS television drama Jericho, and the show has a small, rabid fan base. So rabid, in fact, that when CBS tried to cancel the show, fans sent in 110,000 petition signatures and 20 tons of nuts to protest. Yes, nuts (don’t ask why).
Jericho is about the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are cut off from the rest of the world after nuclear attacks on twenty-three major cities in the United States. Characters struggle weekly to discern how this is any different from living in Kansas now.
The fan protests worked though, so Jericho will be back for at least seven more episodes. But I still don’t see Ulrich as a big-time star. Can you imagine him on the red carpet at the Oscars, with a huge mass of fans chanting “Skeet, Skeet, Skeet?” That’s just gross.

I love Skeet Ulrich and he is an Emmy/Oscar calibre actor. He can act with facial expressions better than anyone. Love him.
